Summer Innovation Internship
Your Role:
Flex your innovation muscles and work with some of the world’s largest and most forward-thinking organizations. VentureFuel seeks passionate, curious, and driven Innovation Interns to join our fast-growing team.
As an Innovation Intern, you will:
- Get hands-on experience researching, sourcing, and vetting startups for our corporate innovation programs to spot new opportunities for mutual growth.
- Dive deep into the emerging technology ecosystem and build reports around key trends, investors, and companies.
- Take ownership of a critical strategic project at VentureFuel to improve/build a capability that further drives our company’s value to our clients.

Expect to develop confidence & marketable skills while working with a fast-paced and passionate team.
This paid internship will be a 20-30hr per week commitment, potentially extending to a full-time post-internship position. Start dates for the internship are flexible.
This internship reports to the Director of Innovation & Partnerships and works directly with our Managers, Directors, VPs, and CEO.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise:
If currently enrolled in a graduate program or a 4-year college or university pursuing a Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree:
- Your field of study is Engineering, Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Business, or other relevant fields. A technical background with a business focus is a plus.
- Your expected graduation date is on or before December 2024.
- You want to transition into the consulting/startup space and begin a full-time role in the fall.
You are experienced in one or more of the following:
- Research, analysis, and reporting
- Business or innovation strategy
- Working with startups / prior experience at a startup
- Technology/innovation scouting
You will do well in this role if you:
- Love taking initiative with minimal direction
- Are results-oriented
- Can see the vision or extrapolate the future potential of ideas
- Can synthesize complex concepts
You may not enjoy this role if you struggle with:
- Managing various workstreams or wearing multiple hats
- Fast-paced environments
- Communicating clearly, both written and oral
- Attention to detail
- Navigating search databases (Crunchbase, Pitchbook, industry specific databases, etc.)

Geography:
- This internship opportunity is remote.
- Our team is fully distributed across the US.
